Deja vu on Sociopolitical Ramifications

Deja vu on Sociopolitical Ramifications MUCK: I bugged Sylph to fix where the program I wrote was intentionally broken, now I know by Arian, who, as it was explained to me, complained that there were places that used the old program still. One of the main design issues I dealt with was, in fact, making the old places (such as Duce's Misspelled Fysh Restrant at 'bus fysh', with which I just now checked) work seamlessly with the new program, but Arian still saw fit to jump all over Sylph about it.

So once again, Arian has forced his will upon SPR as a whole. He has his entire space "roleplay" MUD area of the place to lord over as he pleases (while routinely whinging this way and that about stupid people and giving it up, though he never does, especially if someone says they're going to do their own space area anyway). And Sylph, the only MUF wizard (at least marked as such), has quit. The only satisfaction I get is that I quit long ago and don't have to deal with it any more than I choose to, as long as I don't consider Arian's trashing my program a personal insult.

As might be obvious, this is really nothing new; I certainly expect nothing to change. People will still go to SPR for fun and companionship; the place is big enough that in-fighting management can't hurt the community as much as lag can, and there was just a server upgrade this weekend. My personal sociopolitics might drag me elsewhere but I don't foresee that place falling any time soon.
