I like what Linux represents. A Unix OS built by the people and for the people. But I've had nightmare experiences trying to get Linux installed on my machine. Configuring it is similarly difficult. Despite its power and great politics, it's not pretty, and it's not easy to use.
Be is great though I don't use it much (same old lack-of-software story), and Mac OS X looks good, too.
