I remember Suzanne Vega playing World Before Columbus on a now cancelled MSNBC show that I don't remember the name of, hosted by a particular guy whom I also don't remember. I didn't watch the show much, and apparently no one else did, either.
MSNBC also had their joint venture with Ziff-Davis's TV unit that became ZDTV that became TechTV, The Site with Soledad O'Brien--previously a "virtual" correspondant for some sciencey show on Discovery or TLC or something--and a CG coffee bar guy who was obviously the prototype for Dash and Tilde.
