Gyricon e-paper (Xerox PARC)

Planet X mentions Xerox PARC's electronic paper project, Gyricon. There's no date on the Gyricon page, so I'm not sure what if anything is new, or what makes the Planet X author think it'll be at your local discount center soon!

Quite a while ago, a JC Penney somewhere had a sign changeable with a simple networked pager thingamajig, and I haven't heard a peep about commercial applications for e-paper since. I'm sure it'll be awesome for e-books and The Daily Me and whatnot as soon as it's cheap and common (yes, it's a chicken-egg thing).

Dear Sir/Madam:

I Would like to have as much information as possible about the e-paper product (functions, etc.) I’m thinking of developing a system with this technology. Thank you.
