I was a bit disappointed with the fourth Daft Punk video (the one for Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger), shown on Cartoon Network's Toonami: Midnight Run Special Edition on Friday night. It didn't conclude the series, and what happened to the guy in the guitar-ship? Did he just die or what? I feel guilty for Earth stealing the band; should I? Eh.
The other two Gorillaz videos (for The Future Comes Today and 19/2000) were cool, though, especially 19/2000. It's a cool song, too. The video reminded me of a video game, reminiscent of the Sonic's highway level in Sonic Adventure. Raar.
If I had the discretionary income for the discs, I'd likely buy both (and Crystal Method's new one), but at the moment I only feel at liberty to have gotten the third Barcelona CD.
And at the moment I'm enjoying 120 Minutes on MTV2, so ha.

I’m not sure if you heard yet, but an anime was made for the entire album, and then was chopped up to make those videos. Peep http://www.interstella5555.com/ for the whole thing. Can’t recommend it enough. (http://danalbritton.com/journal/viewItem.cfm?item_id=289)

Am I going mad, or was there a claymation music video that night as well? It’s been driving me mad to remember! >.@ But I reeeealy wanna remember.
I know there was Daft Punk, and Gorillaz (who could forget? they were awesome.) But I swear that there was a claymation video too. It was of that little brown guy w/ the box in his tummy that he could open and that coloured light flowed out. PLEASE tell me I’m not the only one who remembers this, lol. (>.@”’)

I don’t remember that from that night, but that’s More by Mark Osborne. It’s set to a New Order song.

I really would like to see another special edition of midnight run like the one that aired in 2001. I actually managed to video tape most of it. My husband and I just happened to come across it the one time we ate mushrooms together. I guess it was just a matter of “peaking” while being in the right place at the right time. That was one of the most awesome experiences. If anyone knows of any awesome cartoon music visuals please post. Remember all…Stay as vivid as your hallucinations! Peace…
