My (I think) aunt's friend's mother apparently worked in the Pentagon, in a destroyed office. However, by some stroke of luck, someone (perhaps aunt's friend) had an unexpected pregnancy, and aunt's friend's mother retired three months ago to help with the baby.
To underscore how lucky that is, she's all right and coworkers are OK, but some friends and acquaintances are yet to be recovered
(to invoke the euphemism du jour).
