#1 user-agent at markpasc.org in the last three days? Some robot called cosmos, with 228 requests for 223 pages, to Netscape's 483 requests for 142 pages. Apparently it's a spider for xyleme.com, Semantic Web solutions for the enterprise. Still kind of wonder what the Semantic Web has to do with realigning the warp core.

Free-Conversant's tech support says it's not an email harvester, at least. This page on web bots, in fact, says it's a project to locate and index XML content on the web. The company is a spin off from project at INRIA in France, a frequent source of web robots, and notes how the name Xyleme is cleverly (or not so such) brought to you by the consonants X, M, and L. But should I be worried they're hitting me that much?

Access logs are neat.
