Dave says, Two years ago today we survived Y2K.
The side of my honkin' Windows box says, Survive Y2K somehow.
(The top two Unamerican Activities stickers are ones I wore on my backpack a few semesters ago; the third I never bothered with, since it was too apropriate for some of my professors to not be antagonistic.)
I never took the sticker to really mean Y2K the event, but Y2K the year. Apparently we made it, numerically, but as Bruce Sterling says, the 21st century likely started on Sept 11.
So we aren't out of the woods yet.
