winget, metrics, professors

Reading about usable Gantt charts--like, Edward Tufte grade usable--then having Lumi ask how winget compares in project size to Stapler makes me wish I'd kept such stats on Stapler, so I could have a nice flowy cyclogrammatic graph comparing the two.

Speaking of software metrics, I hear from Joshua that Dr Nemecek is going back to Louisiana to teach. Personally I'm inclined to think it's pay-related, since Tennessee hasn't exactly been on the ball wrt financial security lately, and except for the speaking loud (which was certainly less in 450 than, say, 150) he was definitely one of the top three professors we had for UTC CS.

There are some comments on winget over at LiveJournal. The most surprising thing so far is that so many people are interested, when all I've done is draw pretty pictures in Visio (though I am tinkering with code at this point). Functional specs get an A+++ from me!
