Finishing winget will show that:
- I can finish what I start. I have problems with this, so it's very important I do it.
- I can actually write software. A win32 app is qualitatively different from, say, a Radio add-on or Perl CGI software, and there are lots of people left in the lurch jobwise who can do Perl CGI software. (Maybe not so many locally, but if anything local jobs doing that are more rare.)
- I can do what I want if I apply myself. Understanding wget enough to make it threadsafe is, as far as things of which I'm capable go, hard. This would raise my self-esteem, which is in short supply.
Ergo: it's ass-kicking day.
