So with Daypop down, I must look to Google for the 411 on Trillian Pro:
- Dean McKenzie was a beta tester. He mentions the $25 is actually $25/year, which is reasonable for updates. Who says we're still waiting for subscription software?
- Mike McBride mentions it, and points to Erik Noble, a noodler on Radio's aggregator who comments fairly favorably on Trillian's.
- Branden Hall is impressed. "Trilian Pro is so absolutely polished that it's a joy to use." Does that include the menus?
- It doesn't work on Absoblogginlutely's corporate LAN.
- SethB and Katie Lohrenz approve of Pro, but had donated and so got Pro free. Katie is "still not sure if it's worth" $25.
Nobody said anything explicitly about the menus, which is probably because they improved them in even 0.73 (my current version) without me really noticing. Now to see if I have $25 to spare. Of course, a medium plugin API would get me to buy pretty quick-like, so I could have Trillian-MUCK integration. Awww, yeah.
