From Baldur Bjarnason's comment on the 100 SF books list, I read his site and his link to the link to him from Dorothea Salo's Caveat Lector, which also includes some thought on blog as a word. I don't dislike it myself enough to stop using it in conversation, but lately the word has been objectionable enough that when I redo the template for this site, it will be titled "markpasc.org" or "markpasc.org weblog" instead of "markpasc.blog". I had already decided this, but it's at least interesting to read opinions after the fact.
(Now that I think about it, one design I was considering for the new template was something like Baldur's. The current one is turning out infeasible, I think.)
