Things to do, or consider doing

  • Two-disc Christmas mix. Actually, this is done; I just need to burn a copy for Joshua. I also already hung some lights, though the tree needs putting up.
  • Someone's Radio news sorter thing. This is what I should be doing, and what I fully 100% intend to do, with perhaps some other things here in addition.
  • Functional specification for Stapler.py. Possibly implementation, even!
  • Functional specification for a PyBlagg (like the aforementioned PyBlosxom, only Blagg)--except V. Satheesh Babu already wrote a PyBlagg. Even uses Mark Pilgrim's RSS parser as I would've planned. I watched while Ink set up Blagg and Blosxom, you see, to use instead of LiveJournal's syndication feature. He had his typical reaction of distaste to the Perl, so I thought Python might be nice instead. If Babu's is under an amenable license (as I asked in a comment), I might factor out the HTML bits and make it nice, nice. Or at least nicer.
  • Use METAR data and PIL to make spiral wind direction graphs.
  • Some Movable Type stuff, like an HTML tidying plug-in--W3C validation in a box. That's about all I recall, so I might check my previous Movable Type posts, as I'm sure there's some stuff there I've neglected to do.
  • content:encoded support in Kit's news page. Any other little Kit stuff from my todo list in Radio that hasn't made its way to Movable Type yet.
  • Fetch Peter Gutmann's "godzilla crypto tutorial" for books CD. Finish reading other books, for that matter.
  • Fix the bathroom light no one else will.

Gosh Mark, sounds like you’re gonna’ have a busy Christmas break, what with Stapler.py and PyBlagg on the todo list. I’d looked into Mark Pilgrim’s RSS parser to use with Teacup but ultimately decided on Mark Nottingham’s RSS.py module.

I know there’s not even a slim chance I’ll get all of that done, but maybe eventually most of it.

Apparently fixing the comments here I didn’t realize were broken is another thing for me to do.
