Spam Assassin breakage

My Spam Assassin apparently stepped on his poisoned throwing star or something, because spamd gets in an absurdly long wait, and just leaves a lot of exim, procmails, and spamcs running. exim ends up leaving a lot of Spool file is locked (another process is handling this message) and Message is frozen in its log. I've now figured out (hopefully with minimal loss of mail) that I can killall -9 spamc to get my mail to deliver, but then it's not assassed at all.

I thought it might be some rogue, poorly formed regular expressions in my custom rules, but I don't see how /[a-z]/, /bulk/, or /kymco/ are possibly "rogue." Hopefully it's not just a sign I need to bulk up the router box (it's a P75 but I have a P233 I plan to replace it with somehow, somewhere, someday).

Until then I can live with my mild spam load. The bulk of it's already filtered by Earthlink anyway.
