My cyberpunk fantasy

The corporate behemoth concept is a staple of cyberpunk, so that's how I think of this idea: Disney could really turn around. Eisner's successor could herald a new era at Disney, not only of profitability but of real creative leadership and, most optimistically, corporate reform. A creative Disney could be the example for a new, sustainable kind of corporation.

Eisner's successor could realize Disney's purpose of the carefully constructed experience is diametric to Wal-Mart's zombie shamble, "Priiicesss, priiicesss...." Especially if Disney became the American Corporation, they could have contract disputes like Eisner's with Pixar with the pinnacle of corporate exodus from America, Wal-Mart (which could definitely hurt Disney, but might be the thin edge of the wedge against Wal-Martrimony).

(Obligatory blogosphere meme ahead.) Disney could also realize a rising tide lifts all ships and lobby for copyright reform that allows the bulk of work from early this century to go out of copyright (for them to repurpose later when they won't have to license the source material...) while keeping Mickey Mouse "protected" with a renewal scheme.
