Sproutliner is a much cooler app than Ta-da Lists, supporting not only fully in-page editing but hierarchical lists and custom columns.
However, the latter actually works, while the former is painfully in "beta." You can't use plusses in list items (it cooks them into spaces), and I turned the list I was copying over into a toxic waste zone by entering link HTML in an item. It also only supports a very narrow column for the actual list item content, while Ta-da List sensibly wraps stuff. Ta-da List also hides completed tasks at the bottom nicely; I'm not sure how you would do that with hierarchical lists.
I'm sure Glen Murphy will iron that all out, but right now it's a missing feature.
